Neptune

Discovered in 1846. Orbit around the Sun is 165 years.
Neptune, known by the ancient Greeks as Poseidon, was God of the Seas. Interesting to note that even the coloration of the planet Neptune discovered over a millennium later, has the vibrant, almost ethereal, blue color of the Mediterranean Sea.

In contrast to Saturn with its rings representing limitations, boundaries and contraction, Neptune, as God of the Sea, has no boundaries or limitations, and forever expands outwards. And so we see Neptune’s energy pattern reflecting the mystical realm or spirituality and of the psyche, the world of no form, and that which is beyond forms. The realm of the imagination can be quite creative, very visual, and often mesmerizing.

Neptune’s negative expression would be delusion, deception, and dissolution. Neptunian people are wishy-washy, nebulous, and vague. Whether someone is spaced out or tuned in, depends on whether they are grounded in reality while having their head in the clouds. Otherwise, if not grounded and centered, Neptunian people float away with unrealistic idealism and possibly self destructive delusions.

Pisces is the Zodiac signs ruled by Neptune.

The glyph of Neptune, known in mythology as Neptune’s Trident, is the Crescent of Spirit penetrated by the Cross of Matter coming from below.
